Hi, gang,

JokeR has the exact same computer set up as I do... even down to the same parts. While I can run BF2, he cannot. He gets the white screen of death; apparently MANY people have had this problem that has yet to be solved by EA. Anyone have a work around?

Running Windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit with 4 gb ram and 1+ terabytes of space. Thanks!

Harley,
Try renaming the BFBC2.exe into F2.exe.

Hey, Whip,

Apparently, JoKeR had already tried changing the file name before I mentioned your suggestion. None the less, he tried your suggestion as well, still no go. He is going to try switching out his video card... we'll see what happens. Thanks for your suggestion.

Harley,
You could try these,

Go into your BIOS and see if it has "AUTO" setting for RAM voltage, if it is then manually specify your ram voltage directly.
Disable the paging file, settings.ini to DX9
Wait for newer version of drivers
Use harsh language wall

I was thinking it could be the video drivers. Make sure he has the latest ones installed...

Odd... JokeR took out his video card and replaced it with a back up which is identical to the one he replaced and NOW he BF2 runs. Same firmware, same make, same drivers. Shrugs...
